General Information
Founded in November 2011, Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park expanded successfully in December 2012 to a total area of 799 hectares, accounting for nearly one-third of the Hongkou District. Geologically, it covers the major regions like two important functional areas, namely "Grand Cypress Knowledge Innovation and Service Trade Circle" and "North Bund Shipping Service Gathering Area", Huayuanfang Industrial Park, Lighting Equipment Market, Xin'nan Industrial Park, and so on. With such universities as Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai University of Finance, Shanghai International Studies University, and so on, and research institutes of national and municipal level including Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Materials, Shanghai Investigation and Design Institute, East China Electric Power Research Institute, and so on, located in the region, it is rich in research resources. Such large enterprises as China Shipping Group, COSCO Group, Shanghai International Port Group, and service organizations like Shanghai Shipping Exchange, Shanghai International Shipping Information Center, and so on, have formed a perfect industrial system in the region.

Construction Objectives:
We aim at accelerating the concentration of factors for innovation and starting new business and the adjustment and upgrade of industrial structure, optimizing the environment for innovation, improving the management and service in the park, and promoting the development of software and information service industry, professional service industry, and cultural creative industry to turn the park into one of the bases of software and information service industry, professional service industry, and cultural creative industry in Shanghai.

Park Territory:
After expansion, Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park is constituted of the North Block, the West Block and the South Block.
Boundaries of the North Block: the area on the east to Yixian Road - Handan Road - Boundary of Hongkou District - Zhengxiu Road - Miyun Road，on the south to Dalianxi Road-Xijiangwan Road-Huayuan Road, on the west to Shuidian Road-Dalian Road-Zhongshanbeiyi Road-Xinshi Road-Wenshuidong Road-Shuidian Road,  on the north to Fengzhen Road-Xinshibei Road-Changzhong Road, and the area on the east to Tongxin Road, on the south to Shuidian Road (Liuying Road), on the west to the boundary of  Hongkou District, and on the north to Luochuandong Road;
Boundaries of the West Block: on the east to Liangcheng Road, on the south to Guanglingsi Road, on the west to the boundary of  Hongkou District (Yuexiu Road), and on the north to Guangyuezhi Road-Wenshuidong Road;
Boundaries of the South Block: on the east to Dalian Road-Yangshupu Road-Qinhuangdao Road, on the south to Huangpu River-Suzhou River, and on the west and north to Dongchangzhi Road.
