Broadway Mansions was invested by British Commercial Real Estate Company and designed by Flazer. Covering an area of 6000 square meters, the 22 floors building of 76.7 meters high has a construction area of 24,600 square meters. It is close to a modern skyscraper. The floor plan of the building is "> - <" shape. It has curved symmetric stepped-back facade and all edges on the top is decorated with uniform geometric patterns. The exterior surface is decorated with Taishan Brick on with special patterns under the window. The wall of the ground floor is decorated with dark red granite. It is a perfect combination of Art Deco and the American style modern high-rise building. It is now called Broadway Mansions Hotel. The building was announced as Outstanding Historical Architecture of the city and included in the list of Cultural Relics Protection Units of Shanghai in 1989.
In 1996, it was included in the list of Key National Cultural Relics Protection Units by the State Council in 1996.
