Located in Hongkou District in Shanghai, the 532 meters long Tian'ai Road stretches from North Sichuan Road on the south to 315 Land of Tian'ai Road on the north. Built in 1920, it was formerly called the Shooting Range Road. It was also called Qian'aili Road because it is connected to Qian'aili. Later, people changed the name to Tian'ai Road during the Republican Period for it sounds like "Qian'aili". Now, it is reputed as the "most romantic "road in Shanghai. The Love Rod composed of 28 famous love poems is a must see site in the road. Lovers often read the poems out while they are walking through the road.
