What kind of experience is it to have classes in China Art Museum? On February 15, the Shanghai's primary and secondary schools and kindergartens ushered in the first day of the spring semester. In the morning, about 400 teachers and children from Hongkou walked into China Art Museum (Shanghai Art Museum), where they conducted on-site art teaching and had the first lesson. Meanwhile, the ceremony of opening and signing contract between Hongkou District Education Bureau and the Art Education Base of China Art Museum was held.

Xiao Yeying, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, and Chen Xiaojie, deputy governor of the Hongkou District People's Government, attended and delivered speeches. The heads of China Art Museum, Hongkou District Education Bureau and relevant departments of Hongkou, as well as the teachers and students of Shanghai Middle School of Hongkou Education Institute and Hongkou Experimental Education Alliance School also attended the event.

In order to further promote the plan of the Grand Art Museum, give full play to the leading role of the state-owned aircraft carrier in carrying out the combination of culture and education between museums and schools, and practice the formation of morality in art and the integration of morality and beauty, the China Art Museum and Hongkou District Education Bureau, relying on their respective resource advantages, have established a cooperation mechanism under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The "On-site Teaching Course in the Art Museum" in China Art Museum, a social aesthetic education class, was jointly carried out, and the “Major Ideological and Political Course” resource platform was built in the principle of resource sharing and mutual cooperation. In the solemn flag-raising ceremony, the on-site activities began.

Hongkou District Education Bureau and China Art Museum (Shanghai Art Museum) held a signing and unveiling ceremony. The two sides jointly set up the Art Teaching Base of China Art Museum, carried out the "On-site Teaching Course in the Art Museum" project, promoted the combination of the small-sized ideological and political class and the "grand social class", and made the positive exploration for telling the stories of China, Shanghai and Hongkou District in the new era. The first group of specially-invited teachers was also awarded letters of appointment on the spot.

The "On-site Teaching Course in the Art Museum" series courses in China Art Museum will be based on classic permanent exhibitions, popular temporary exhibitions and master-level works in the collection of the museum, and the experts and excellent teachers inside and outside the museum will be coordinated and organized to design and launch customized curriculum topics, and create a new cultural and educational integration model with the art museum as the first teaching site through colorful courses such as art history interpretation, classic works appreciation, practical experience and customized research. The course will be carried out normally in the next few years.

With the signing ceremony, China Art Museum has become a classroom for Hongkou’s students. The teachers of Hongkou led the students to learn while watching, and many teachers of China Art Museum (Shanghai Art Museum) also participated in the teaching. They offered Hongkou’s students a feast of art by teaching 7 art classes, including Leave a Mark in China Art Museum, The Method of Painting Appreciation, The Creation Hero in My Heart, and The Exhibition of Art Works of Chinese Myth.
